Lawn Bowls grand final!
On the 30th of July Thursday morning, it was a great weather outside of the classroom, cloudless blue sky with crisp air! 8 year 7 girls went to the local Bowling Club for 2009 Lawn Bowls grand final. A game of bowls consist of 8 ends; each ends started with the placement of white ball "Jack" which is bowled down the green. During the games, the girls displayed great skills of being able to place their ball very close to the "Jack" or their opponents balls; to gain the point of advantage. Rebecca in year 7 had her bowl knocked out of her opponent's scoring area. Katrina, Maryam, Chantel and Partrisha displayed outstanding skills by using their bowl to knock the "Jack" into a position that advantaged their team; this is excellent understanding of competition Lawn Bowls. At the end of Lawn bowls grand final; Flames lead the first place. They has won 5 points against Swifts of 2 points. Opal is in third place, they won 9 points against Matilda of 7 points. Although the game is over' the score is final; the year 7 girls still shake hands to their opponents and show their gratitude to the host of local Lawn Bowl. What a fantastic ending!
