Twelve teachers from Strathfield South High School have recently received nominations for the prestigious NeiTA ASG Inspirational Teacher Award.
Members of the community nominated all twelve teachers and this week they received their certificates on the school assembly
The purpose of these awards is to honour and recognise inspirational teachers, and highlight the importance that teaching plays in the development of young people in Australia.
School Principal Mr Valenti said “ It is truly inspiring when teachers are recognised by the students and community. These teachers represent all that is good in schools. They work incredibly hard running extra classes in the holidays, staying back after school, coaching sporting teams and developing positive relationships with their students, encouraging to achieve to their potential”
All the nominated teachers received a rousing round of applause during the presentation but were keen to get back to their classes to continue the important journey of teaching and learning.
